The House

The Marches, still a relatively unknown region between the Adriatic Sea and the Appenine Mountains, is also referred to as „The whole of Italy in one region“. Here, you will find all that makes people fall in love with Italy, like the trendy beach life, the diverse  and hilly scenery, the impressive mountains, the open and friendly character of the locals and the original regional kitchen.

The old estate „Colle del Lupo“ (Hill of the Wolf) is situated on a hill (altitude 460 meters) with a marvelous panoramic view across the farm lands.

The farm house is typical for The Marches region. After a careful restoration the house now contains five comfortable holiday apartments measuring between 30 and 60 square meters. The homes each have a separate entrance and mostly a private terrace. The homes are decorated in a pleasant rustical style, they are fully furnished and have a central heating system. All you have to bring yourself is the bedding (bed size 160x200cm), towels and kitchen linens. If you wish, we can arrange this for you. A washing machine and dryer are available for your convenience. The final cleaning of the house after the rental period is included. Parkingspace is available.

Please inquire which appartment is best suited for your requirements.

In the house you’ll find a nice pub room with a bar which can be used for meeting place and group area. Outside there is the „pool with a view“, a sun bathing area, a large terrace and a natural umbrella under a giant mulberry tree.

Shops, bars and restaurants can be found in Pergola, a small town only three miles from our house. Pergola has about 7,500 inhabitants. In the historic center you will find narrow alleys, sandstone buildings and „palazzi“. In 1946 the „Bronzi Dorati“, a group guilded bronze Roman statues from the first century AC, were found outside Pergola, in the small hamlet of Cartoceto. These are now on display in Pergola’s municipal museum.

Nice trips can be made to the Adriatic seaside cities of Fano and Senigallia and the towns along the steep coastal strip of the Monte Conero near Ancona. Visit the splendid historical cities Gubbio and Urbino (approx. 33 miles) or the gigantic Frassasi Caves. Also the Lago Trasimeno, Perugia and Assisi (approx. 50 miles) and even Rome (approx. 145 miles) are within reach.

Also there are many Medieval towns and convents to discover, as well as caves and local events such as truffle fairs, antique - and week markets. Please ask us for suggestions.

Drivers of a convertible or a motorbike and bikers wil most certainly enjoy the surroundings from May until October. In the truffle time from October until February the province is visited by a large number of connoisseurs and gourmets.
